New University Sender Profiles

eComm and Salesforce/Marketing Cloud is the official email platform for the university. In May, university eComm updated all sender profiles that send from Marketing Cloud to be in compliance with new email guidelines. Emails you receive from the university may now have a “com” in the sender email address. All emails sent from the emails listed below are legitimate university emails.

Here are the approved university sender profiles and how they will appear in your inbox:

Advancement, System, & CU Boulder: email-address@com.cu.edu
CU Anschutz: email-address@com.cuanschutz.edu
CU Denver: email-address@com.ucdenver.edu
UCCS: email-address@com.uccs.edu

We want you to be aware that messages from @com.cuanschutz.edu, @com.cudenver.edu, @com.uccs.edu, and @com.cu.edu are NOT phishing messages.

Since they are newly updated, you may get a security message at the top of the email to add the sender to your Safe senders list in order to view blocked content. While these are legitimate emails from the university and safe to add and view, it is still wise to be vigilant and double check before adding any new email to your Safe senders list because this change may make it harder to spot phishing attempts.

If you receive an email that comes from a sender and it looks like a phishing message, right click and report it as phishing— a member from the Information Security and IT Compliance team will review it and report back to you in a timely manner.
